The Problems of Life as a Doctor and a Parent

Being a doctor and a parent is tough, particularly in two-physician households. As doctors, surgeons, and nurses, we're often so focused on our clinical job that we let our families fall through the cracks. We don't see our kids and spouses as often as we'd like. Our children grow up in the care of nannies, with doctors playing the role of absentee parents. It doesn't have to be that way. Fellow physicians, we must regain control of our lives and careers. It's time we reconfigure work to match our lives rather than subordinating our lives to our jobs. Dr. Greg here. I'm a practicing anesthesiologist who loves caring for patients, but I also enjoy traveling and exploring creative side projects. I've lived all over the country (California, Texas, Georgia) and practiced in various settings. I can show you how to get more joy from being a doctor and a parent. Message me if you're a pediatrician, surgeon, obstetrician, emergency medicine doctor, internist, or family physician. I can help you build the lifestyle you love.
